I’m feeling the colorway of this shoe. Clean, fun, and very seasonal, but I feel like it was a miss on Nike’s part not to have made this colorway for men… maybe they did, I just don’t care enough to go and find out. Got some blogging to catch up on :)

Skateistan – Decades of war have left Afghan youth with very limited options for sports and recreation. An Australian man is trying to change that by starting a skateboarding school for children.

I come from the school of thought that the line between being inspired and stealing is pretty black & white. Streetwear has a knack for flipping artwork from renowned artists and making it their own. In the real world most people would consider this stealing but for those who understand streetwear, understand that if it’s done right then it’s all good. If it’s done wrong, then you’ve got some explaining to do. Such is the case with this tee from those crazy Mishka cats, who’ve decided to flip the Black Bart artworks to create their own Obama inauguration piece. Uh, if you Mishka cats are listening I’d like to throw down an order for one white tee, size large please.

Check it out, yet another Brooklyn based design studio who’s kicking ass and taking names. Go figure… “Adorn is Brooklyn based design studio started by Eric Elms. We aim to make people think and smile by creating visually interesting and conceptual solutions to client’s projects, whether that is a single graphic or an entire campaign. Here is some of the work we have done over the past few years.
Thanks for visiting”…

It’s been a while since I was excited about anything street-wear related (see The Hundreds skate shoe) but I was on Hypebeast the other day and caught the extremely late release of 10 Deep’s Holiday Collection which, for the most part, is pretty sick… even for a grown man like myself (LOL!). Hate it or love it here’s a bit of what they have to offer…

I USED to be a fan of XLarge, back in the day. But with the influx of the numerous Streetwear brands in the last 3 years or so, XLarge has kinda got lost in the shuffle. They haven’t been making any headlines and I haven’t checked them in a minute. But when I did I was pleased to see that at least they’ve stepped up their photography game…

In an effort to get more young people registered to vote, Las Vegas retail store Undefeated has put together a collaborative t-shirt with renowned artist Geoff McFetridge. In support of Barack Obama and his message of change, UNDFTD is giving away the shirt design for FREE. All you have to do to get one is head over to the Las Vegas UNDFTD and register to vote. Personally I think this is a very smart and great way to get young unregistered people to vote. It’s a win win situation.

Always has been, always will be? Who knows… but I’ve personally been a fan through thick and thin. Even while people around me laughed and sometimes pointed, I stuck by their products and what they’ve been able to accomplish. Even though I don’t rock much streetwear these days I still keep my eyes open and ears to the ground, and it’s good to see a brand like The Hundreds keep progressing. As the saying goes… “Do You”. Read a little interview over @ Sneaker Freaker.
