You don’t know the meaning of cute until you’ve seen the work of Jason Lee, or should I say, his two kids. It almost seems as if they were born baby models, the way they openly participate in sometimes tediously constructed scenes. Oh and his other work is pretty on point as well…

Observation has always been a key part of improving one’s own skill set. Watch the pros, see what they do, and how they do it… then try to imitate it as best as possible. If you know where to look you can learn anything, especially online, where information is as rampant as ever.
Communities like Flickr and Jordan’s Breakfast Club are providing young people with access to a wealth of knowledge and because of places like these the age range of any given profession is getting younger and younger. Especially within creative industries.
Allow me to introduce to you Guillaume Kayacan. He’s Young. Really Young. But you couldn’t tell by looking at his portfolio. His work carries a certain level of maturity, something that a lot of the digital photographers of today lack. And you can see it in the details. The way he composes his subjects, his lighting techniques and how he manages to capture the moment… he’s got a lot of potential. And I’m definitely excited to watch this young talent mature and evolve…

Found this awesome photograph on the Flickr stream of Soko57. He doesn’t have much work, but what he does have is quite interesting. He’s obviously done work for a variety of genres ranging from landscape to portraiture to fashion…

Walter Iooss has attended all 42 NFL super bowls, and has had 14 books published with “rare air” going to #1 on the New York Times best seller list.”

The talented Mr. Philip Toledano has put together an extremely touching photo documentary about his father and the final days of his life, entitled “Days With My Father”. His father is 98 years old and does not have Alzheimer’s, but has no short term memory. Although there aren’t many words, throughout the essay I found myself completely choked up trying not to cry as I work in an open space with 25 co-workers. It’s an extremely touching documentary and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Is it awesome photoshopping? Is he photographing the scene and the person separately? Li Wei says it’s all real. I can’t be sure, it all seems pretty authentic to me…

Lightmark, the work of Cenci Goepel and Jens Warnecke is fantastically erie and wonderfully creative. Even without the light sources, the location of their photographs is great. And if you’re interested in visiting the same place where a particular photograph was taken, they have also provided the Nautical Coordinates. Be sure to check out their “The Making Of” section. Today I went to Henry’s to get a replacement for my Nikon MB D80 (Side-grip battery-pack) and met a really nice dude by the name of Jay Shuster. I also inquired about the holy grail of Nikon Lenses the Nikon 24mm f/1.4 (which is selling right now on Ebay for $3,900.00) and we struck up a conversation about Fullbody camera’s and the difference between Nikon and Canon…

Amazing, genius, breathtaking… Any word to define superiority is what I would use to describe his works.
