A very, very popular illustration concept recently made it’s way around the web gaining popularity in virtually every network it appeared on (like Drawn, Geekology, Acid Cow and Curious Photos to name a few). They may or may not seem familiar to you but these hilarious illustrated dead fly artworks originally created by Mangus Muhr, have been hi-jacked by a bunch of douche bags who work at an advertising agency in Munich Germany known as Heye Group. Now I don’t know what the details are, like whether or not Mangus was paid for the concept or who exactly is resonsible, but this original dead fly artwork and this is ad campaign is too much of a coincidence to be just a coincidence. Conclusion? Suuuspect.

This past summer I was contacted out of the blue from someone at Maple Leaf Sports asking to purchase a couple of my images to be used for the 2009-2010 Season Ticket Creative. I was skeptical at first, as I’m not in the business of selling my photography, but after speaking to some co-workers I figured what the heck, these photos aren’t making me any money just sitting around on Flickr…

Nice commercial from the Nike Sportswear camp… who, at the moment, seems to be doing everything right. This spot’s got just the right amount of humor and CG to leave me wanting more. Check it out
