With the domestic auto industry suffocating in debt, as many suspected this years Detroit Auto Show didn’t have the same flair it once did. Auto shows in general usually have quite costly entrance fees, in addition to all the money it costs the manufacturers to advertise to the public about their “vehicles of the future”. Thus this year’s show turned out to be a little bit of a bust with several manufacturers pulling out… no Rolls-Royce, no Land Rover, no Ferrari or no Porsche. Move over T9 here comes Swype! The inventor of the T9 keyboard technology for numeric keypads, Cliff Kushler is at it again, with another superb evolution… although it’s not an evolution when you’re reinventing. Swype boasts that it’s technology allows users to type up to 50wpm or faster, which is kind of crazy cause when I’m on my game I type about 40wpm on a normal keyboard… 50wpm on a mobile device is on a whole ‘nother level.
