“I was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, which is the part of LA nobody likes to talk about. I did a lot of skateboarding when I was younger, broke a lot of bones, and spent hours filming my friends; making skate videos eventually brought me to still photography.”

I think when you’ve been published as many times, have exhibited as many times, and when you’ve had your work as part of a museum collection as many times as Mark has… you’re considered official.

Wholly fucking shit batman, this ain’t no joke. This is the real deal. It’s official. Nikon has finally released the successor to the hall-of-famed 28mm f/1.4 $4k “holy grail” lens. Only this time, they’ve given us more width, in addition to all the new fancy lens coatings and what have you, for less. I just caught the news from the ever popular Nikon Rumors website who kindly left a link trail to Bob Krist’s blog, who first broke the news with some of the first sample photos from this all new 24mm f/1.4. Fortunately, for those of you like myself, who’ve been waiting literally YEARS for a lens like this to come out, it’s cheaper than the 28mm f/1.4 that’s been selling on EBay by about $1000.00 which brings it’s Canadian retail price to $2,349.59… bank breaking I know…
