Man, these dudes keep bringin’ the heat! Another great track cut to the most swagalicious scene from the most swagalicious 80′s movie, Robocop.

Not sure how I came across this track, but I did… this morning. And I’ve been humming it in the back of my head all day. I wanted to post it earlier but I’ve been in a trance ever since. The world wide web doesn’t have much information about this track or it’s origins but what information there is says there are two artists… Abel Tesfaye on vocals & Jeremy Rose on production. Apparently they’re from my city (Toronto) so big ups to my local! Other than that, I’m shit out of luck. If you know anything about this track, feel free to leave a comment.

Keep your ears open, don’t sleep. Tyler the Creator is on the rise and if this video is any indication of things to come (a single from his upcoming Goblin LP) you’re not going to want to miss Tyler’s eventual rise to stardom. You can quote me on that. Keep up with him via his Twitter & Tumblr accounts.
Real recognize real.

From the mind of Creative Director and native New York-ian, Tahir Hemphill, comes The Hip-Hop Word Count… the most impressive and innovative idea to come to the game ever. The Hip-Hop Word Count is a database of Rap lyrics from over 40,000 tracks, between 1979 to today. Combining such data as word count, line count, time period and geo location, HHWC can provide unprecedented insights such as which artists used the word bitch most often, or which group of artists in which locations use the word champagne most often, and when. You have to watch this video. A truly grand idea. If it’s as striking to you as it is to me then be sure to make a monetary contribution to the project by visiting his site here.

This track was one of the first things I heard this morning and it kinda woke me up. Had it on repeat until I left for work. And now I’m at work and it’s still on repeat. Heavy…

I was really hoping more artists would get with the holiday feeling and release some of their own Christmas tracks. It’s about time someone released an R&B/Hiphop Christmas album isn’t it? Thank you Yeezy for your contribution…

My boy Ness just sent over Vado’s album “Slime Flu”. There are some definite bangers on the album, but for me, one of its standouts is this track…

Was digging around through my music library and came across some old school Choclair. Surprisingly his beats and lyrics can still hold a flame to a lot of the new cats trying to make it out here.
