So firstly let me say thank you to everyone who took the time to vote for me to win the People’s Choice Award. Unfortunately I did not win it. However the night wasn’t a complete bust, and I’ll tell you why. The voting process of the FITC people’s Choice Award was a little misleading, even for myself, well possibly only myself but whatever…

I thought I was only eligible for a People’s Choice Award, but in fact I was being judged in a separate category. So basically, it worked like this… there were multiple contestants across multiple categories and everyone was eligible to win for their category as well as a People’s Choice Award. However I didn’t find out this information until about an hour into the awards ceremony and as it turned out I did end up winning something… just not the People’s Choice Award. That award went to Brad Timmer of Beside. I won something that personally feels a little better ;) because it was being judged by the FITC judging panel which was the award for Best Canadian Designer. So technically I could have one multiple awards, but I only walked away with the one… so BOOOM!

But the madness doesn’t stop there… my homeboy Peter Nitsch also won… Best Canadian Developer. So DOUBLE BOOM!

I’m gonna thank everyone who came out and voted for me, and I’m also going to thank the people who are responsible for nominating me, it was an honor, truly.
